Closing Out 2009 and Kicking Off 2010

2009 was a great year for us, and we closed it out on a high note.  We've been involved in camping promotion events for our district's new adult leaders at Leader Specific Training in November and December.  We had a chapter bowling night in November.  In December we took over the Clyde Lodge at Maple Dell for a night of games, movies, and food (oh, yeah, we worked on some ceremony training as well) — this was our best attended event in several years.

And now, we're kicking 2010 off with a bang.  A number of our arrowmen attended Klondike with their units, while several adults in the chapter helped out with activities there.  In our first Chapter Leadership meeting of the year, we pulled together a great looking calendar for the first half of 2010:

• Feb 5-6 LLDC — we're hoping to get 8-10 youth there along with a couple of adults.
• Elections in the Park —we want to hold multi-unit elections at Kiwanis Park in Provo in February, March, and April.  We're hoping to induct a great crop of new arrowmen this year.
• Apr 16-18 — we're looking forward to a huge group of arrowmen and candidates attending this great section level event.  Will you be there?
• May 14-15 District Camporee —hopefully most of our arrowmen will be going there with their units, but we'd love to have a chapter presence as well.  We will be holding a call out ceremony there.
• May 21-22 Spring Fellowship —Induction, Service, and a Feast ... what more can you ask for?
• Jun 2-5 Lodge TeePee Week —Our arrowmen who have attended this in the past rave about it.  It's going to be a great week at Scofield (with another Ordeal opportunity for any of our candidates who can't go to our fellowship).
